The workshop on “AI in digital-ready policy design and legal drafting” will explore how tools powered by AI technologies can support policymakers in their digital-ready policy journey. The workshop will highlight potential tools and features, such as the Policy Screening Prototype (SeTA) and smart functionalities for legal drafting (LEOS). It is targeted at professionals from the public sector, academia and industry working on policy design and legal drafting, and interested in identifying the role that AI technologies can play in these processes.

Martin Gritsch is an IT manager with extensive experience in the public sector. He has worked for the European Commission for over two decades, holding management positions in the Informatics Directorate, the Directorate-General for Environment and the Secretariat-General. He has been responsible for the implementation of IT systems at European level in the fields of environmental protection, CO2 emissions trading, implementation of EU legislation, transparency and online participation of citizens and stakeholders in EU law-making. For the last three years, he has taken on more business-related responsibilities in the design, optimisation, and application of the European Commission's decision-making process. In this role, he is also the business owner of the Commission's Decision Information Systems, which include the core decision-making system 'Decide', the e-participation platform 'Have Your Say' and 'EdiT', the collaborative online editor for EU legislative documents.

Cécile is a business architect who has worked for interoperability matters since 2008 . She joined the Interoperability unit in 2017 to contribute in the development of actions around legal aspects influencing the interoperability of public services.
